Things To Do in Fuengirola

The best things to do in Fuengirola — top beaches, activities, attractions and days out, handpicked for tourists, families and locals alike.

Fuengirola is built for doing things on foot. The seven-kilometre promenade runs flat from Sohail Castle — a 10th-century Moorish fortress you can walk up to for free — past the marina and the old fishing quarter of Los Boliches to Carvajal, with a beach the whole way. Bioparc, the immersive rainforest zoo in the town centre, is the stand-out family attraction on this part of the coast.

Beyond that it's boat and dolphin trips from the port, the riverside Parque Fluvial, the Roman fish-salting site at Finca del Secretario, and the big Tuesday market and Saturday flea market at the fairground. The train from Málaga airport ends here, so it all works without a car.
