Chiringuito La Cubana
A colourful, recently refreshed beach spot at the Carvajal end of town — breakfasts, sharing plates and cocktails with a livelier, music-led feel than the traditional chiringuitos.
The best beach clubs in Fuengirola — sunbeds, pools, DJs, cocktails and long lunches by the sea. Compare the spots and plan the perfect beach day.
Fuengirola is chiringuito country rather than champagne-spray country. The seven kilometres of promenade are lined with traditional beach restaurants, and the nearest things to a beach club are their smarter cousins: Chiringuito Oasis, with sunbeds and a Repsol Guide recommendation, and the colourful, music-led La Cubana at the Carvajal end.
For a full beach-club day — pools, Balinese beds, DJs — Higuerón The Beach Club sits on Carvajal beach right on the boundary with Benalmádena, open year-round and to non-guests. Otherwise Marbella's clubs are half an hour west.

Paseo Marítimo Rey de España, Fuengirola
A good-looking beach restaurant popular with locals — fresh fish and rice dishes on the sand, sunbeds in front and a Repsol Guide recommendation to its name.
Avenida del Sol 225, Playa de Carvajal
The smart option — the Higuerón resort's beach club on Carvajal beach, right on the Fuengirola–Benalmádena boundary, with pools, Balinese beds, a restaurant and DJs. Open year-round and to non-guests.
A few. Higuerón The Beach Club at Carvajal is the full-service option with pools and Balinese beds; Chiringuito Oasis and La Cubana are smart, lively beach restaurants with sunbeds. Most of the seafront is traditional chiringuitos.
Sunbeds on the public beaches are rented by the day from the concession in front of each chiringuito at modest prices; beach-club beds at Higuerón cost considerably more and are best booked ahead in summer.
