Benidorm runs on events all year, and the biggest is the November Fiestas Mayores Patronales — a week for the Virgen del Sufragio and Sant Jaume of parades, the flower offering, mascletàs, correfocs and fireworks that ends with the Fancy Dress Day (Día del Disfraz), famously the largest fancy-dress party in Europe. Autumn also brings the Iberia Festival at the open-air Julio Iglesias Auditorium and Oktoberfest at Plaza Triangular.
The everyday rhythm is the big Rincón de Loix street market on Wednesdays and Sundays, the nightly dinner-and-shows at Benidorm Palace, and the wall of live-music bars across the New Town. Benidorm's big weekly street market in the Rincón de Loix (Levante) — 200+ stalls of clothes, leather, fresh produce and household goods every Wednesday and Sunday morning, 9am–2pm.
The Día del Disfraz falls on Thursday 12 November 2026 — the finale of the patron-saint fiestas, and reputedly the biggest fancy-dress party in Europe. Tens of thousands turn out in costume across the Levante area, British Square and the New Town from lunchtime into the night.
